Magiels respects your privacy. This notice explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit the store, create an account, order or contact us. For UK data-protection purposes, the controller is Erwin Wawrzaszek, an individual entrepreneur trading as Magiels (SIREN 751 139 023; SIRET 751 139 023 00012), 29 Avenue Bosquet, 75007 Paris, France. Shopify and other providers may act as processors or independent controllers for their own services.
Information we collect
- Identity and contact details including name, email, telephone number and addresses.
- Orders and transactions, including products viewed, baskets, purchases, returns, refunds and payment confirmation. We do not directly store full card numbers.
- Account information, preferences and customer-service communications.
- Technical and usage information such as IP address, device, browser, cookie identifiers and store interactions.
- Marketing choices, reviews and promotion entries.
- Fraud-prevention, security and compliance information.
Sources
Information comes directly from you, automatically through the store and cookies, and from providers such as Shopify, payment processors, analytics tools, fraud-prevention services, fulfilment partners and carriers.
Purposes and UK GDPR lawful bases
- Contract: payment, fulfilment, delivery, accounts, returns and order communications.
- Legal obligation: tax and accounting records, lawful requests and consumer or product-safety requirements.
- Legitimate interests: store security and improvement, fraud prevention, performance analysis and support, where not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: optional marketing and non-essential cookies where required. Consent can be withdrawn.
Sharing
Information may be shared with Shopify; payment, delivery, fulfilment, IT, hosting, analytics, support, security and marketing providers; professional advisers; regulators and law enforcement; and parties to a legitimate business transfer. Providers receive only information reasonably needed for their role.

Marketing
You can unsubscribe through any marketing email or by contacting us. We may still send non-marketing messages concerning orders, accounts and security.
International transfers
Providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, recognised safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations, the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to standard clauses are used.
Retention
We keep information only as long as necessary for orders, accounts, law, tax, accounting, disputes and fraud prevention, then delete or anonymise it securely.

Complaints
Contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. UK customers may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children and security
The store is not intended for children who cannot lawfully provide their data. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method is completely secure; do not email sensitive payment or identity information.
